Welcome to Broken Wall Theater Arts—a vibrant space where creativity, education, and community converge. Rooted in the transformative vision of Meredith Covert, our mission has evolved from making dance accessible to fostering a dynamic, inclusive arts community for all.

Meredith’s journey began in a childhood home filled with the rhythms of dance and the drama of theater. Her early immersion in the arts led her to earn a BA in Theater from Arizona State University. She went on to establish her own dance studio, serve as the Artistic Director of Mildenhall Theater Group in England, and later own a successful Dance and Theatrical Academy. Her accolades include being a top 10 finalist for UDMA Teacher of the Year in 2018 and ACHI Choreographer of the Year in 2019.

In Dover, Delaware, Meredith founded Unbranded Dance, a studio offering low-cost classes to the community. Unbranded Dance also partnered with Sparsile Dance, a nonprofit dedicated to creating new performance art using non-dancers within the community. During her time in South Carolina she furthered her knowledge and training in theater. She founded a chapter of International Thespian Society and led a group of talented young actors to achieve several first-place awards and superior distinctions. This has laid the groundwork for Broken Wall Theater Arts, expanding her original mission to encompass a broader artistic vision.
